Making the Pillow
A B
In order to make a pumpkin pillow, stitch out the pumpkin of your
choice onto the center of a 19“ x 19” piece of fabric. TIP: You can
get creative in your color choices to coordinate with decor, or
work with an existing fall color palette.
C D
Line up the open edges of the first back panel to the edges of
your front panel. Place pins along the open edges of the back
fabric (see circles for suggested pin spots).
E F
Using your sewing machine, sew the panels together along the
seams, using about a 1⁄2” seam allowance.
For the back of your pillow, take your two pieces of fabric, cut at
19” x 22” each, and fold them in half. Iron each panel to give them
crisp folds.
Repeat step C for the second back panel, pinning in place along
the open edges.
Using scissors, trim away the excess fabric in the corners at a 45
degree angle. This will prevent bulk in your finished project.
