STITCHING THE BLOCK
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
To begin, hoop a piece of no-show mesh stabilizer to fit your
hoop, and begin running the merged designs. The first step in the
merged design will be a squaring stitch for your batting.
Run the next step in the design, which will be a tacking stitch to
secure the batting in place.
Take a piece of batting and place it over the squaring stitches,
covering them completely.
Once secured, use scissors to trim away the excess batting from
all sides, cutting close to the tacking stitches.
Once your batting is trimmed, it is time to place your base fabric.
Lay a piece of base fabric, right side up, over the batting, being
sure to leave enough fabric for a 1⁄2” seam allowance on all sides.
Using a matching thread, run the tacking stitch for the base fabric.
