ARTFULLY DIMENSIONAL
The puffy foam technique relies on
a specially digitized satin stitch that
overlaps and traps the foam to the base
fabric. What remains when the design
is complete and the foam is pulled
away, is a multi-dimensional embroidery
design that appears as though it’s
blooming right out of the fabric.
The thickness of the foam is a key
component in your stitch out. For a
super puffy look, go with thick foam.

Just be mindful of what size you are
stitching; you probably want to stick
to the A size if you’re using the thick
foam. For a more delicate look, you
can try using thinner foam. It will make
your satin stitches less puffy, but your
design will have a little bit more room
to “breathe,” and allow a little more
negative space to show through. The
thin foam will be perfect for the two
smaller sizes of each design.
