G. Continue to run the
decorative embroidery
steps over the photograph
until the design is
complete.
C. Run the first machine
step, which will be a
placement stitch for where
you will place the printed
photograph.
I. Once trimmed, your
embroidered photograph is
now finished.
A. To begin, you will need
to change your needle to
accommodate the wool
thread. We recommend a
100/16 embroidery needle.
D. Use a temporary adhesive
like 505 Spray to create
a tacky surface on the
stabilizer for the trimmed
image.
E. Place the photography
image within the
placement stitches, being
sure to line it up on all
sides.
F. Proceed to the next step in
the design, which will be
the background stippling
to secure the photograph
to the stabilizer.
B. Hoop 1 piece of tear away
stabilizer to fit your hoop.
If you have a lighter weight
tear away, use two pieces in
your hoop.
H. Once the design is finished
embroidering, remove
it from the hoop. Use a
rotary cutter and ruler to
trim the excess stabilizer.
TECHNIQUE TIP:
If your machine model offers an on/off feature for automatic thread trims, try turning this
feature off during the wool embroidery to minimize thread breakage.
