M. Using a similar or
matching thread color,
proceed to run the folding
stitch for the fabric strip.
P. Trim away any excess
fabric from within the
batting, leaving 1 ½" seam
allowance extending
outside of the block.
S. When the design is
finished, remove it from
the hoop in order to trim
away the excess materials
and stabilizer.
Q. Once trimmed, your first
piece of folded fabric will
look something like this.
O. Run the tacking stitch for
the folded fabric strip in a
coordinating thread color.
R. Repeat steps K - P for the
remaining folded fabric
steps in your block.
If applicable, proceed to run
any decorative embroidery.
U. Your folded fabric quilt
block is now finished.
N. Fold the fabric over the
folding stitch line, pulling
taut, and giving it a finger
crease. Use spray adhesive
or tape to secure the fold.
T. Use a rotary cutter and
ruler to trim the block
down to 1 ½" seam
allowance on all sides.
