J. Bring the tapestry sides to
meet the panel's sides. Stitch
from the corner to the end
of the block (see line). Stop
stitching at the end of the
embroidery near the outer
tacking stitch line, leaving ~1"
excess fabric at the top.
K. Repeat on the other side panel,
using the block's embroidered
edge as a guideline. Once
again, be sure to stop stitching
at the end of the tapestry
block's embroidery, leaving
about 1" of seam allowance.
L. Once your side panels have
been sewn on and joined
to the main tapestry blocks,
it should look something
like this. Note that the seams
should stop 1" from the top
edges (an edge is folded back
here to show this seam).
M. Now turn your bag's outer
shell right side out
N. Use pictured steps G - K to
repeat the same process for
creating your bag's lining.
O. Use a steam iron to press the
lining seams from the right
side, folding the top edge
of the purse's side sections
down and pressing along the
fold (better seen pressed in the
following image).
P. Once prepped and pressed,
your bag and bag lining
should look like this.
Q. Insert the finished bag lining
into the purse's outer shell.
Fold the purse's outer side
panels in and towards the
lining side section. Pin the
two folded edges together in
place, as shown here.
R. Top-stitch close to the edge to
join the lining to the body of
the bag.
