Mixing styles is important. There are five main
styles within this book: tapestries, photographs,
toile, drips and backgrounds; and there is
also a section of three-dimensional objects
such as flowers and butterflies. As shown here,
grouping multiple techniques creates a visual
sampler, and is a way to showcase the different
types of art you are creating. This simple four
block layout demonstrates different styles of
embroidery, yet the unified colorway with
its use of tonal pinks allows each piece to
beautifully complement one another.
