DEFINING THE ARTISTIC REPERTOIRE
This section will detail each of the embroidery art techniques that Wilson has employed in his own
studio works that you will be able to recreate with the files included in this series. Keep in mind that
although the techniques are listed independently of one another, they can be used harmoniously
when tied with a overarching color story. One finished piece may showcase two or even three
techniques in one finished work, so the possibilities of artistic expression are truly endless.

Tapestry
Inspired by 18th Century textile books, these
stunning, entirely embroidered pieces are show
stoppers of stitches. Use these as a base to other
techniques, or alone for tying in colors.
Photography

details over floral and woodland shots.
