Using a steam iron, butterfly the seams open and press
them flat. You are now ready to begin attaching the binding
to the quilt.

Using your sewing machine, attach the binding to the quilt,
leaving 1⁄2” seam allowance, removing pins as you go.

Once your corner is diagonally stitched, it should look
something like this.
Start in the center of the bottom of the quilt, as indicated by
the circle. Place the binding face down on the quilt, lining up
the edges. Continue along the bottom of the quilt until you
reach the corner. Using pins to secure as you go.
Stop stitching 1⁄2” before the edge of the quilt. Raise your
presser foot, and pivot the quilt to diagonally stitch off
the corner.
Next, fold the binding strip back along the diagonal stitching,
away from the quilt, and then forward to create a fold along
the quilt’s bottom edge. Place a pin in this spot to secure.
