Next, run the tacking stitch for the fabric in a matching
thread color. Once secured, use scissors to trim away the
excess fabric from the tacking stitch line, leaving a 1⁄2” seam
allowance extending past the batting.

Repeat steps E - G for the remaining standard appliqués in
the block.

When the block is complete, remove it from the embroidery
hoop. Use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the design to a 1⁄2”
seam allowance.
Once trimmed, your first appliqué will look something like this.
NOTE: The size and position of your standard appliqués
will look different depending the block you loaded.
