Use a rolling pin to flatten the clay into a pancake that is
about 1/4” thick. Try not to make it any thinner, otherwise your
horse will be very fragile and break when we stamp it later.
Your flattened pancake should look like this. Make sure it is
large enough to fit the horse template you cut out.

Place your horse template on top of the clay, then gently
press it into the clay to hold it in place.
Use a sharp knife to cut the clay around the template. Use
your other hand to hold the template in place as you cut.

Your clay horse should now look something like this.
Note: you can use your finger to carefully smooth out
any rough or jagged edges around the horse.
