Once trimmed, your standard appliqué should look
something like this.

Before continuing to the placement stitch for the first border
piece, we will need to trim the excess fabric from the left and
right of the quilt block, as shown.

Now, run the placement stitch for the first folded fabric
border.
Continue following your design’s numbered machine steps
for the remaining embroidery steps. NOTE: If you chose a
quilt block without the folded fabric borders, your block is
now complete and you can jump to step W to trim it out.
Once trimmed, the block should look something like this.
Take a 2” strip of fabric about 13” long (for an A size quilt
block) and place it right side facing down, pulling the edge
just past the placement stitch line, as shown.
