Now, we need to create the thread fringe that will be used in the
trim. We’ll do this using the piece of cardboard and embroidery
floss. The amount of floss you need will depend on the length of
trim you want to make. For our project, 30 yards (3 skeins) made a
6.5” fringe trim.
Begin wrapping the thread around the width of the cardboard.

Continue wrapping until you have the amount of fringe that
you would like. The tidier you wrap the thread, the tidier and
more uniform the fringe will turn out.
Next, place a length of tape across the top edge of the thread.

Press the tape onto the thread on the backside of the
cardboard. This tape will temporarily keep all the thread in
place for the next few steps.
Using small scissors, trim the bottom, not taped, edge of the
wrapped thread.
