Next, take your 24” x 24” apron fabric and measure where
the pocket will start. Then, from those measurements,
determine the center of the area you want the pocket.
Our center ended up being 9.5” from the left and 6.25”
from the top.
Then, fold the top half of the pocket fabric under so that the
folded edge is at the top.
Next, place your fabric in your hoop by drawing the hoop
center marks as you did in step 2, then align the center point
of your apron with the center point of the hoop. Be sure that
the apron is placed with the raw edge at the top of the hoop.
Load the file rkitchen9 from Retro Kitchen Aprons, then run
the first machine step. This will be a placement stitch for the
pocket. Use this step as a chance to determine if the fabric is
aligned correctly, and if not, remove the stitch and try again.
