Using a yardstick to help with feeding the material, tape one
of the pieces of batting to one end of the stick.

Continue feeding the yardstick with batting through until you
reach the end. Repeat steps D-H with the remaining handle
fabric and batting.

Now, take the binding strip and place it along the edge of
the basket. Be sure to place the starting edge of the binding
where the base of a strap is located, and fold back the edge
for a starting point. Pin the binding strip along the bag.
Feed the batting through the fabric strap's channel.
Use pins to secure the handle to the side of the basket,
being sure to pin it to the outside edge of the basket. Repeat
on the opposite side with the remaining handle.
Sew the strip and handles to the bag at a 1⁄2" seam
allowance. Just like with the pocket binding earlier, we will
now create a double fold to finish the edge of your bag, then
sew the binding strip in place all the way around.
