ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
Don’t be intimidated by these notebook covers because
they’re actually very simple to make! Each cover is
constructed in two hoopings. The pocket design is stitched
in the first hooping, then attached to the cover in the second.
Notebook covers 1-7 will have pockets that coordinate with
the cover designs, so designs that end with “-1” will be your
pockets, and designs that end with “-2” will be your covers.
Design 8-10 will use the generic blank pocket, so you will
stitch the file, “PNC-BLANK” first, then stitch the cover
design second.
Once you stitch the pocket, you will load and stitch the cover
design next. It might seem tricky at first, but you can follow
our step by step pictures to see exactly how to determine
where to place your fabric in the hoop! Once you’ve
embroidered your notebook cover completely, it’s time to
finish it up in the sewing machine. There, you will attach a
lining as well as create the flaps that will help you enclose
your binder with the notebook cover.
