HANG IT IN STYLE
When planning your Cuckoo Clock
Dangler, think about where you’d like to
hang it and what type of ribbon or cord
you will use. For our clocks, we decided
to use a 14” long piece of 1⁄8” wide
ribbon. Get creative with your ribbon.
You could try using a wider ribbon,
multiple pieces braided together, or
even slide on a couple of your favorite
beads before connecting the ribbon to
the clock.
PERFECT PLACEMENT
Some of these clock designs
are symmetrical while others are
asymmetrical. Depending on which
design you choose to stitch out, you
will want to play around with the ribbon
to figure out where you want it placed
on the design. For example, some are
perfect for ribbon to be placed directly
in the center. A design with a chimney,
however, would need the ends of the
ribbon spaced more apart to allow
the clock to hang evenly. No need to
worry about ribbon placement until you
have stitched out both the clock and
coordinating danglers. Once they are
complete, practice hanging your ribbon
by temporarily securing the ribbon in
place using pins. Once you are happy
with the placement, mark or make note
of the desired placement and continue
following along with the picture step
instructions.
