Once you have the quilt rolled and the row to stitch selected,
transfer the quilt to your sewing machine.

Once you have stitched all the seams, your quilt back should
look something like this. (Stitched seams are indicated here
with black lines, but be sure to use a clear monofilament or
matching thread for your quilt).

Now we will create the Binding. Cut strips measuring 21⁄2”
wide by the perimeter of your quilt top, plus a few additional
inches. For our quilt top, we cut 4 strips measuring 21⁄2”
wide out of fabric measuring 44” wide.
Begin to stitch in the ditch in the horizontal seam, working
from the center seams out towards the edges. Repeat step
S, rolling the quilt vertically this time, in order to get to the
intersecting seams.
Now, use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim away any excess
back fabric to meet the quilt top’s 1⁄2” seam allowance.
To join the strips together, place two strips’ ends
perpendicular to one another, with face sides together if
applicable. You can use a pin to secure in place.
