Cut a 14” x 1” strip of fabric to act as the binding along the
short edge of the flag. Fold it in half as shown above.

While leaving the pins in place, open the binding. Use
scissors or a rotary cutter to slice a small opening from one
pin to the other along the fold of the binding. This will be the
hole for the ribbons.

Pin the binding in place.
Line up the binding with the short edge of the flag. While
creasing the binding in half over the short edge of the
flag pin the areas where the ribbon will need to be pulled
through the binding.
Pull the ribbons through their respective holes and slide the
binding down until the crease meets the short edge of the
pennant flag.
Sew the binding on starting with the short edges. Be sure to
back stitch to ensure the binding will stay intact.
