ATTACHING YOUR POCKETS
Once you have your pocket created, you can attach
it to anything you wish! Attaching your pocket can
be done through a few different methods, so you
can choose the one that you are most comfortable
with. The technique we used for our pockets was
sewing them directly onto our project. For projects
such as shirts or aprons, this is a great way to
attach your pocket with stability and sturdiness. To
sew yours, just stitch along the inside of the satin
stitch using a clear or matching thread, being
sure not to sew the top of the pocket shut.
Another quick and easy option is using
fusible web. Two brands that we often use
are HeatnBond and Steam-a-Seam. These
products are a great option for projects that
might require a bit more deconstructing if you
wanted to sew the pocket on, such as the side
of a tote bag. Just follow the manufacturer's
instructions and begin attaching!
