Using your sewing machine, still with the cording or thin
zipper foot, stitch along the outer edge to sides and ends.
Remove pins as you stitch.
Then, repeat pinning and sewing to attach the back fabric
that you cut in step 12. Sew the back only on three sides,
leaving one entire end open.
Insert the foam you cut in step 10 of Creating the Cushion
Top. NOTE: If you prefer a fuller look, you can also wrap
the foam in high loft batting; then wrap both in plastic for
easy insertion.
When finished sewing, turn right side out through the opening.
Once the side and end pieces are attached, your cushion
should look something like this.
Now, we are ready to attach everything to the cushion top.
Place the top facing up, and lay the end of the attached
fabric face down as shown here. Make sure the corners are
aligned, and use pins to hold in place. Continue pinning
around the entire rectangle.
