CONSTRUCTING THE CUSHION
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
To reduce bulk in the seams, further trim away the stabilizer
on each block close to the tacking stitch.
C D
Starting with two of the embroidered blocks, arrange the two
blocks next to each other how you would like.
Fold the right block over the left, then pin their shared
edge together.
E F
In your sewing machine, sew the edge together using a
1⁄4” seam allowance, starting and stopping the seam at the
corners of the tacking stitch.
Your joined blocks should look something like this.
Before you begin sewing the pin cushion together, be sure
you have the 15 blocks needed completely stitched. You
should have five embroidered blocks, five blank blocks in
one print, and five blank blocks in a second print.
