Run the tacking stitch step for the folded fabric border to
secure it in place.

Reference pictured steps P-T for the next border piece. Once
tacked in place, the two borders should look like this.
Now, take your scissors and trim away the excess fabric from
the left and right ends of both borders. NOTE: If you neglect
to trim the excess fabric here, your machine’s foot could
catch on them, so be sure to snip those off!

Once the excess tabs have been removed, the block should
look something like this.
Repeat pictured steps P-T once more for the remaining left
and right border pieces, being sure to leave the excess tabs
of fabric on these borders as a seam allowance.
Now, fold the fabric strip over the folding stitch line, giving it
a good finger crease. Use tape to secure the fold and return
the hoop to your machine.
NOTE: Be sure your fabric strips are cut wide enough so
that once folded, you’ll still have a 1⁄2” seam allowance!
