Cut a strip of fabric across the grain (from selvage to selvage
across the width of the fabric) for each block’s binding. Each
strip of binding should measure 11⁄4” x 20” and there should
be one strip for each page. In our case, 8 strips are needed.
Use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the seam allowance to 1⁄4”.

With right sides touching, pin your binding strip as
shown here.
Flip the block and binding over to have the binding on the
bottom. By sewing binding on the underside of the block,
you can use the block’s tacking stitch as a guide to ensure a
straight line.
