What is your favorite aspect of your job? I love the variety
and versatility that my job offers. If I feel like taking pictures,
I can do that. If I’m in a creative mood, I can work on ads for
emails and social media. If I feel like working in Photoshop,
I can grab a batch of stitch-outs and work on those. Anita’s
atmosphere really lends itself to the creative personality!
I also really enjoy managing my team. I’ve always loved
working with people and I absolutely love collaboration. I
love bouncing ideas off of each other and working together
to make our All Access books as beautiful as they can be.
What would you say is your favorite Anita Goodesign
collection? That’s a tough question!
We come out with so many cute
collections! I think if I had to choose
one that was recent, I’d pick Peek-
A-Boo Embroidery. It was just SO
CUTE! I love the little monkey in the
rocket ship and the princess in her
castle. If I had an embroidery machine at home, I definitely
would want to turn that collection into a soft book for my
daughter. I might even take Anita’s Fonts and add some
words to it, since she’s practicing recognizing her alphabet!
Outside of work, what are your hobbies or hidden talents?
I have an almost 3-year-old daughter, Lillian, who keeps
me pretty busy! She is full of energy and so much joy and
curiosity. On weekends, my husband, Lily, and I can often be
found playing at the park, eating lunch at Panera, or baking
something delicious from one of the many food bloggers that
I follow.
Speaking of food bloggers, I LOVE to bake! I have a weakness
for scones, so I’ve probably tried at least 15 different scone
recipes throughout the years until I finally made the ultimate
scones! I also love to make cookies, cakes, muffins, pies, and
really anything that falls into the dessert category. In fact, the
only photos I have saved on Instagram are pictures of food

WITH PEOPLE AND I ABSOLUTELY
LOVE COLLABORATION”.

that I’d like to make!
When I find time on the weekends, I
work on my photography business,
Pine Tree Pictures, where I
photograph families, newborns,
weddings, and commercial projects.
Plus I have a few freelance design
clients I’ve been working with for years.
I also have a love for musical theater! Before COVID, my
husband and I had season tickets to the Broadway shows that
made their way through Charlotte, NC. That was our standing
date night, so no matter how busy we were, we’d always get
a babysitter, go out for dinner, and see a show. Since all of
