STITCHING OUT A QUILT BLOCK
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Take a piece of batting and place it over the squaring
stitches, ensuring the stitches are covered on all sides.
C D
Run the tacking stitch for the batting. Use a pair of curved scissors to trim away the excess batting
from the tacking stitch line.
E F
Your block should look something like this once trimmed. Continue to the next machine step which will show you
where the base material will be laid towards the four corners.
To begin, load the block of your choice and hoop a piece
of No Show mesh stabilizer. Run the first step in the design,
which will be a squaring stitch to indicate where you will lay
the batting. For this example, we are stitching OPNC1.
