Once the design is finished stitching, all the standard
appliqués will be finished with a satin stitch as well as other
decorative embroidery. NOTE: If an appliqué falls on the
edge of the design, be sure to leave at least a 1⁄2” seam
allowance on those edges.

Remove the design from the hoop. Use a rotary cutter and
ruler to trim away the excess base fabric and stabilizer.
NOTE: Be sure to leave a seam allowance of at least 1⁄2”
from the base fabric’s tacking stitch on all sides.
Your Hawaiian Quilt II block is now finished!
Follow along with your design’s numbered machine steps
to complete the remaining decorative embroidery. If you
need help with the other standard appliqués, use the same
technique shown in picture steps I - L.
NOTE: You can trim away the excess base fabric to 1⁄2”
minimum, if desired.
