HOW TO CONSTRUCT A BLOCK
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Run the next machine step, which will be your squaring stitch
for your batting.
C D
Lay a piece of batting over the squaring stitch, making sure
to cover it completely.
Run the next machine step, which will tack the batting
in place.
E F
Using a pair of scissors, closely trim away the excess batting
from the tacking stitch.
Now lay your base fabric, right side facing up over the
batting. Be sure to cover your batting completely, while also
leaving an excess of 1⁄2” on all four sides of the block. This 1⁄2”
will act as a seam allowance.
To begin, hoop a piece of No Show mesh stabilizer and load
your design.
NOTE: For this example we are using SB3d.
