To achieve the three times of day, it
is important to carry the same colors
throughout each of the sets, while also
varying hues so each would become
more indicative of the time of day
shown. For example, you can add
lighter elements during day time and
darker elements at dusk, or tweak the
colors to be warmer with pale tones for
dawn and cool, darker tones for dusk.
Additional elements may be added to
the scenes as the time of day changes
as well, such as animals in the sky. See
