Fabrics & Threads
When you think of the African Savanna, the first colors that come to mind are likely a dusty, earthen
palette of neutral colors. For our Savanna Triptych, that's exactly what we chose to incorporate! From
grunge printed patterns to marble and batik, a variety of textures in your cottons can create a more
"natural" look to your finished scene. Warm yellows and straw tones are sure to stand out around the
bold, beautiful patterns of the animals in each block.

PLEASE NOTE: This Special Edition has many designs with different sizes of appliqué for
each block and triptych scene. Therefore, we cannot provide the exact yardage needed. Most
designs in this collection will call for a fat quarter to half yard of each fabric color to create all three
blocks of one triptych, though some appliqués are smaller. The easiest way to determine how
much fabric you will need is to measure the placement stitches as you go and cut accordingly.
