MEET & REPEAT
These stunning designs make a great
repeating print for home decor, like
a table runner! Begin by deciding
the base material and length for your
runner, then mark out the placement
for your designs. Your measurements
will vary based on the size of your
design and the length of your material.
Once you have selected your item
or fabric, you will want to mark the
center and intersecting points onto
the back of the fabric using tailor’s
chalk or a fabric marker. Be sure to
consider how far up from the edge
you want the pattern to start!
After you have established where you
would like your design to lay, it’s time
to hoop your stabilizer. For this project,
we recommend a tear away stabilizer,
but note that you can use a double
layer of water-soluble stabilizer as an
alternative. With your stabilizer hooped,
you can now draw the axis points of
the hoop directly onto the tear away.
Using an adhesive spray, secure your
fabric over top of the stabilizer, being
sure to align your axis points on the
back of your fabric to the axis points on
the stabilizer. Once you have finished
running your first design, simply repeat
the process, utilizing your axis on your
base material and embroidery hoop
to help keep things aligned. A simple
back fabric and binding will help finish
off your new decoration in no time!
