Stitching a Scalloped Border Block
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Using the squaring stitch as a guide, place the batting over
the stitches, making sure to cover them on all sides.
C D
Run the next machine step, which will be the tacking stitch to
secure the batting to the stabilizer.
Once tacked, use scissors to trim away any excess
batting on all sides of the block. Trim directly up to
the tacking stitches.
E F
Once the batting is trimmed, your block should look
something like this.
Run the next machine step, which will be the placement
stitch for the first fabric.
Begin by hooping a piece of No Show Mesh stabilizer to
fit your hoop. Then run the first machine step, which is the
Squaring Stitch for the batting.
NOTE: We are stitching file ECBB13.
