BACK OF HOOP

Once you have trimmed away your excess stabilizer, STOP
and pull your zipper so it is at least half way open. You
MUST remember to open your zipper up at this step, or else
your bag will get stitched closed!
Once you have opened your zipper past the halfway point,
turn your hoop back over. Lay your full lining piece face
down on top of your hoop. Be sure to have enough fabric to
cover the entire bag plus a 1⁄2” seam allowance.
Run your next machine step, which will be the tacking stitch
for your lining.
Once you have finished the tacking stitch for your top panels,
use scissors on the back of the hoop to trim away the mesh
stabilizer behind your zipper (see inside box).
