Run your next machine step, which is the tacking stitch that
will secure the fabric to the design. Be sure to use a thread
color that matches your base fabric.
Now place your base fabric over the batting, being sure to
leave at least a 1⁄2" seam allowance on all sides.

Proceed to the next step, which will be the decorative
stippling for your design.
Run the rest of your embroidery steps, being sure to
follow your design’s numbered machine steps for any
indicated thread color changes. Your block should then look
something like this.

Remove the design from the hoop. Using a ruler and rotary
cutter, trim the excess fabric, being sure to leave at least a 1⁄2"
seam allowance on all sides.
