TRENDY TRIVET
CREATING YOUR TRIVET
Our featured collection for this project, Friends, Family, & Folk, is a 4x4-sized quilt block collection, however, you are able to
use any quilt block size you desire for this project! If you opt to use a standard quilt block, for example an 8” (A-size) quilt block,
simply skip to pictured step 11 to follow along with backing and binding a single block in the same manner shown. Just don’t
forget the insulated batting in your project to keep counters and fingers safe!

To begin, start with 4 stitched quilt blocks from your desired
collection and lay them out as desired.
NOTE: For this example we are using block FFF4 from our
Family, Friends, & Folk collection.

Once you have finished stitching, open the two rows up.
You can use a steam iron to butterfly press open the seams
on the back to help them lay flat. Your two rows should look
something like this.
Once you have all 4 quilt blocks laid out, take the two blocks
on the right and fold them over to lay face sides together
over the left blocks. Using the outer tacking stitch as your
guide, sew the blocks together along the same edge.
Now, fold the bottom row of joined blocks up to lay face
sides together over the top row. Using the outer tacking
stitch line as a guide, stitch in the ditch all the way across the
bottom seam of your blocks, joining the rows in the middle.
