Sew with a straight stitch along the 45° line you marked.

Using a ruler and rotary cutter, trim along the seam you
stitched at a 1⁄4” seam allowance.
Unfold the strip so it lays flat and butterfly press the seams
open with an iron. Repeat the process in pictured steps I - K
until all your strips are attached in one continuous strip.
Align the end of the first binding strip with the beginning
of the next strip, right sides facing together, to create an
overlapped 90° angle. Using tailor’s chalk, mark a 45° line
across the two strips where they overlap (see above).
