LIFE TAKES Y0U TO UNEXPECTED PLACES
Do you ever find yourself wishing that certain designs also
came with a set of isolated motifs? We have a variety of
quilting collections that do not come with isolations; however,
there is a way to maneuver around those designs. We
wanted to make a pillow featuring the state of New Jersey
that is now a part of our Sewin' Singles series and pair it
with the Birds and Flowers of the 50 States. Since our idea
involves embroidering our design onto a piece of fabric and
not on a quilt block, we have to manipulate our design on our
own. This process is super easy and is something you can do
at home as well! We call this merging designs.
As you select a variety of designs or motifs that you would
like merged together, you have the ability to skip through a
number of steps to get to your ideal isolation. For this
project, we skipped past all the basic quilt block
construction steps and went straight to the appliqué and
embroidery process. You can do this with almost any
design! Expand your project abilities by isolating two of
your favorite motifs and turn them into something cute, just
like our featured state pillow!
