CREATING A FOLDED FABRIC QUILT BLOCK
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Place a piece of batting on top of the squaring stitches.
Make sure the batting completely covers the squaring stitch.
C D
The next machine step is the tacking stitch. After tacking
the batting in place, trim away any excess batting up to the
tacking stitch line.
The next step is the placement stitch for the Cornerstone
fabric. NOTE: The Cornerstone fabric is essentially the first
piece of fabric placed in a folded fabric design—it will be
the only fabric laid face up like a standard appliqué!
To start, hoop a piece of No-Show mesh stabilizer,
then run the first step, which will be the squaring stitch
for your batting.
