CREATING YOUR TEAPOT COVER
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Run your first machine step which will be the placement
stitch for your batting.
C D
Place your batting on top of your placement stitch, being
sure to cover all sides.
Your next machine step will be the tacking stitch for
your batting.
E F
Use a pair of curved tip embroidery scissors to trim away any
excess batting from the tacking stitch. Once trimmed, the
batting should look like this (inset).
Once your batting is trimmed, place your base fabric with the
right side facing up, ensuring that all sides of your batting is
covered. Be sure to leave enough room for at least ½” seam
allowance on all sides.
To begin, hoop a piece of No Show mesh stabilizer.
NOTE: For this example, we are stitching the left half of
our cozy, which is design TC7.
