Continue on to run the stippling for your design in a matching
thread color.
Using a pair of curved tip embroidery scissors, trim away the
excess batting close to the tacking stitches, being sure not to
trim through them.
Using a matching thread, run the next machine step, which
will be the tacking stitch that secures the base fabric.
Once the batting is trimmed, lay your main fabric right side
up over the batting. Make sure your fabric extends past the
batting by at least a 1⁄2” on all sides for your seam allowance.
