Run the next machine step, which is the tacking stitch that
secures the back portion of the bag to the front portion that
is still in the hoop.

Using a pair of curved tip scissors, trim the excess fabric and
vinyl from all outside edges to the tacking stitch line. It may
be helpful to trim one layer at a time. Don’t forget to flip your
hoop and also trim the back fabric and vinyl, too!
Once you have trimmed both sides of the hoop, your design
should look something like this.
With the design still in the hoop, take the back piece of the
bag and lay it directly on top, with the vinyl and lining fabric
facing up and the main bag fabric facing down. Be sure to
match up the bottom corners and align the tacking stitches.
Tape in place.
