Curating the perfect color palette for
your garden can be quite complex.
From stylish accessories, garden
tools, and floral arrangements, the
color wheel could be considered a
gardener’s best friend. A popular way
to combine colors within your garden—
and intermingling two collections—is
to use a complementary color palette.
By doing this, you will be selecting
colors that are situated on opposite
ends of the color wheel. This allows
TEXTILES TALKIN’
you to design a perfect palette for the
collections you are trying to combine.
When designing our Garden Bucket
Bag, we knew that Gnomes for All
Seasons and our Vintage Seed
Packets collections were the perfect
combination for this collaboration. We
wanted to create that vintage vibe
throughout our finished bag, all while
mixing in a bright color palette. This
is why we chose to mix burlap with
bright red cotton textiles. Burlap is an
inexpensive, natural material that is
great for protecting your garden. Save
your scraps for burlap borders on your
Vintage Seed Packets designs! To
maintain the aesthetic, we chose to
create a cinched closure for the top of
our bag, which is then held together by
jute cord. Since you are the designer
behind this magnificent piece, you can
close your bag with jute cord or ribbon,
the choice is yours!
