PROGRAMS AVAILABLE A full list of our programs and bus trips can be found at www.belmar. com under the recreation tab. We offer robust basketball and soccer programs, tennis clinics, running clubs, pickle ball, senior walking clubs and special programming including: BELMAR SUMMER CAMP: Belmar Recreation runs a 7-week Summer Camp for Belmar children from first to sixth grade. Your children’s days will be filled with arts & crafts, sports, “day trips” to the beach & Maclearie Park, library visits & movie days. Your kids should come home exhausted! Registration is in mid-March. BELMAR YOUTH CLUB: Saturday nights through the winter, third through eight grade students can enjoy activities in the gym. TODDLER TIME: Most Thursday mornings throughout the year, children ages 1 – 4 with their parent/caregiver can enjoy ball pits, bounce castles and many other colorful play items. The Recreation Department maintains seven different facilities that serve as homes to various clubs, programs and events that have for so many years enhanced the way of life for our families and individuals. SEASONAL EVENTS: Easter Egg Hunt: The annual Easter Egg Hunt is open to Belmar residents free of charge. Over 3,000 eggs are placed in the sand on the Second Avenue beach and children ages 1-9 enjoy hunting for them. Two eggs in each age category contain a ticket for a special treat.
