representing all faiths, from Protestant,

Baha’i, Quaker and Unitarian
Universalist. Additional local faith
groups include First Unity Spiritual

HEALTHCARE
St. Petersburg is known for its top
quality health care and has several
highly rated hospitals offering
care to infants, children, teens and
adults. Johns Hopkins All Children’s
Hospital, a leading specialized
pediatric academic hospital and research
center, and Bayfront Health
St. Petersburg, part of Community
Healthy Systems, are anchors in the
city’s new and evolving Innovation
District, a growing hub of medical,
life science and marine science
organizations. Johns Hopkins All
Children’s has 12 regional hospital
affi liates in six counties and is the
only pediatric hospital on Florida’s
West Coast that is ranked as a U.S.
News & World Report Best Children’s
Hospital.

in the city include St. Anthony’s
Hospital, which is a member of the
local nonprofi t BayCare Health System;
and three HCA West Florida

local and national charitable

benefi ting animals include SPCA
Tampa Bay and Southeast Guide
Dogs. CASA (Community Action
Stops Abuse) provides shelter
and support for women and
children affected by domestic
violence. Boyd Hill Nature
Park volunteers assist with
environmental education and
gardening, animals and with the
park’s birds of prey center. There
are also a wealth of arts-related
volunteer opportunities at local
museums and performing arts
centers. In addition, Creative Clay
is an innovative arts organization
benefi tting adults with disabilities.
