There are treasures of all kinds to be found in the
eclectic mix of shops and galleries of Manasquan’s
shopping district. If shopping stirs your appetite,
there are plenty of tasty options in town, such
as the Squan Tavern. Dominic and Marguerite
Bossone began offering old-world Southern
Italian food in 1964, and the Bossone family has
continued the Squan Tavern tradition of serving
delicious pizza and Italian specialties for more than
50 years. For an evening on the town, Algonquin
Arts Theatre in Manasquan’s business district
presents high-quality performances and programs
in theatre, music, film and dance. Originally a movie
house from the 1930s to the 1980s, Algonquin has
been engaging audiences as a performing arts
space since 1994.
Choose from a large selection of rental
accommodations available by the week, month or
season. For shorter stays, Manasquan boasts a
B&B, a guest house and two motels. The town is
a short distance from Interstate 195 and Garden
State Parkway exit 98. It’s also accessible by train
via NJ TRANSIT’s North Jersey Coast Line.
