Newlyweds Ines Clinton, a real estate agent, and Darren Clinton, a deep sea diver, explored the art center’s galleries and made new friends during the party. JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2017 | TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE 161 Dave Gerth and his wife Ellen, keynote speaker for the Sterling Society’s upcoming January 27th Founders’ Luncheon benefit, admired the art exhibits at the center. Jerry and Melody Figurski, who have been staunch supporters of The Arc Tampa Bay for years, served as the honorary chairs for its Festival of Trees benefit. Third-year festival co-chair Kiersten Finchum and her husband Travis were excited about the high quality and creativeness of the fundraiser’s decorated trees. Karen McMullen congratulated her husband Bret for again serving as a co-chair, while also decorating trees for this hugely successful Arc benefit. Holiday Gala Party The Dunedin Fine Art Center, which offers creative educational experiences in the visual arts, and the Sterling Society, which is its support group, joined forces for their first annual Holiday Gala Party. The art center was filled with guests who enjoyed visiting with one another, admiring the galleries’ exhibits, holiday decorations and Gallery Shop offerings, sampling the cuisine from the center’s own Stephen Michael’s Palm Café and dancing to the music of Mitch Loenstein and his combo. Photography by Gram Arc’s Festival of Trees “Once Upon a Christmas,” the Arc Tampa Bay’s 32nd annual Festival of Trees benefit, was a three-day opportunity to stroll through a forest of more than 100 creatively decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and other decorations that were available for purchase at the Long Center in Clearwater. The family-friendly festival was officially kicked off by its popular Premiere Night patron party. The Arc Tampa Bay supports and empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
