Tighten Skin and Lose the Age Spots
with Lasers
Spent too many years in the sun? Today’s
fractional, non-ablative technologies not
only diminish sun-damaged skin, but can
also tighten sagging areas. The best part?
No downtime!
Body Contouring without Liposuction
The non-invasive body sculpting
market is skyrocketing, with more than
7 million procedures performed last
year. CoolSculpting, the industry’s gold
standard for eliminating fat without
surgery, continues to gain FDA-clearance
for new areas. Most recently, the company
announced FDA-clearance to treat
upper arm fat in addition to the already
approved areas, including abdomen,
flanks, back, chin and inner and outer
thighs. In as little as 35 minutes, you can undergo the procedure
and in 90 days the fat will be gone for good.
Kybella, a deoxycholic acid that was FDA-approved in 2015 to
treat the chin area, works by destroying fat cells where it is injected
into the body. Treatment can be performed in 30 minutes or less
and will have your double chin looking better in just a few weeks.
Lately, I see more men and younger people turning to medical
aesthetics. People today recognize that the best method for antiaging
is prevention. Before you undergo any procedure, do
your homework and make sure you’re putting yourself in the
hands of the most qualified and highly trained experts available.

It’s clear that the beauty industry has
changed a lot in the past 10 years, and
it’s hard to keep up with all of the
emerging advances. With more than
10,000 people in the United States turning
65 everyday, patients want minimally
invasive, affordable options to improve
their appearance with little downtime.
For the vast majority of the population,
the high costs and risks associated with
plastic surgery make it an unattractive
option. Luckily, there are many ways to
easily reverse those signs of aging and
get incredible results with these cosmetic
procedures in 2017.
Neuromodulators Zap Wrinkles
Botox remains the most popular
cosmetic procedure overall for both men
and women. Dysport and Xeomin also
help smooth and prevent those pesky
wrinkles. When injected, they block
certain nerve signals that make muscles
contract. The muscles relax, minimizing
unwanted wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Patients can also achieve a temporary facelift, softening of the
jawline and lifting of lips.
Restore Balance and Volume with Fillers
More than 2.4 million dermal filler procedures were performed
last year. A diverse range of products like Voluma, Juvederm,
Radiesse and Restylane continue to increase in popularity.
Practitioners can address a patient’s specific concerns by
injecting fillers as needed. While some fillers are more effective
for diminishing fine lines, others are better for improving structure
and volume. It’s common to “stack” an assortment of dermal
fillers to achieve optimal results.
Stem Cell Rejuvenation
The discovery of Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, has emerged in
the aesthetics industry as a modern-day “fountain of youth.” Blood
drawn from the patient is spun in a centrifuge, separating the stem
cells, which can then be micro-needled and/or injected into the
skin along with hyaluronic acid (for healing and moisturizing).
