Rev. Richard C. Hermes, S.J.
Dear Jesuit Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
The President’s Annual Report is a welcome opportunity for me to thank and recognize
the many benefactors of Jesuit High School for their support of the Jesuit mission. Those
listed in this publication have joined countless others through the years to make it possible
for Jesuit High School to develop and thrive in Tampa since 1899.
Because of this strong support, thousands of young men in the Tampa Bay area have had
the benefi t of a Jesuit education. Without our Annual Fund and the generous support of
our fi nancial aid program, nearly 30% of our students would be unable to attend Jesuit at
all. During any given year, other families face unexpected fi nancial setbacks, illnesses, or
family crises that make it impossible for them to complete their tuition payments.
The letter below illustrates the appreciation that our families on fi nancial aid feel for the
experience their sons are able to have at Jesuit, their gratitude to our benefactors who make it possible and, quite often, their
desire to participate in annual giving in whatever way possible. Truly inspiring!
On behalf of the whole Jesuit community, I thank you for all you have done to help us in the past year. May God reward you for
your abundant generosity.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Richard C. Hermes, S.J.

Dear Father Hermes,
I want you to know that I am beyond thankful to God and to
the staff at Jesuit for providing all the help for my son to
attend such a prestigious school. I am so grateful to everyone
in the school who has reached out and helped me during the
enrollment process for my son. I want you to know that it is
an honor to have my child attend Jesuit.
I received your letter regarding the Annual Fund. Because of
contribution, but nonetheless I want to pledge $20 monthly to
this fund. I know this is not much, but I want to help the
students … Thank you for the opportunity to participate and
contribute to the Annual Fund …
