known as the Dixie Highway is now an award-winning
preservation project. Restored to provide public restrooms for
Circus Square Park events as well as wonderful photo
opportunities for automotive and history buff s.

This new and growing center is dedicated to recovering,
documenting, preserving and presenting the history of African
Americans in the Bowling Green area. Exhibits include artifacts
related to military, education, entertainment and community
contributions. Open by appointment only.

Built in 1904 by one-time Mayor Francis Kister, this Greek Revival
home has beautiful inlaid wood fl ooring, carved fi replaces and
mantles, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Serving as a cultural and educational community center, the
home is site of an annual Trees of Christmas display. Open for
tours Mon., Wed. & Fri. 10am-2pm and by appointment.
23 St. Joseph Catholic Church

This church at the heart of the St. Joseph Historic District was
placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975
because of its artistic and historic signifi cance. The Gothic style
structure took 30 years to complete and is said to be inspired by
the cathedral church of Cologne,
