This is JESUIT
An academic and spiritual tradition of excellence
for nearly 500 years.
In 1540, St. Ignatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus after a
near-death experience in war led him to dedicate his life to the service
of God and others. Eight years later, Ignatius opened the doors to the
first Jesuit school establishing an education committed to developing
excellence in every aspect of a young man—mind, body, and spirit.
The halls of Jesuit High School in Tampa do not simply echo Ignatius’
tradition, they pulse with it. Dedicated to complete developmental
growth, Jesuit aims to, and succeeds in, transforming ordinary boys
into extraordinary men.
“Go forth and set
the world on fire.”
— St. Ignatius of Loyola
